Expiration Dates for Vitamin Supplements

Here at Vitarich Laboratories, we strive to provide you with the best services possible so you can pass on the quality to your consumer. One major aspect of vitamin manufacturing and labeling of supplements is the determination of expiration dates. Vitarich Laboratories conducts stability studies on all our products to determine how long they last structurally, their potency over time, and any possible health concerns.

Although many people disregard expiration dates, these numbers indicate a variety of factors and have a huge effect on the quality of supplements. First and foremost, expiration dates tell the consumer when a supplement is no longer effective. Oftentimes, people will use a supplement beyond the expiration date. However, beyond this date, the supplement is markedly less effective and may not work at all.

Further, using supplements beyond their expiration dates may cause health problems. Over time, certain ingredients can change, and if taken after the change, they may be dangerous to the health of the user. For this reason, it is especially important to know and abide by expiration dates.

For more information on expiration dates or to speak with someone about manufacturing a supplement with Vitarich Laboratories, call or e-mail us today.
